The AEJMC Public Relations Division is proud to announce our 7th virtual conference.

How do I submit a panel?
We seek timely and relevant panels with the potential to stimulate theoretical, methodological, practical and/or pedagogical discussions among our members. Here are recommended steps to help you craft an effective panel proposal.

NOTE: Panel proposals should not be under review at other conferences. They should not have been previously presented either at other venues. Please send us your original ideas and creative proposals.

First – Get an idea
Proposed ideas would ideally represent the current field’s challenges, advances, and best practices.

The Division is accepting panels in research, teaching, and PF&R.  Panels should last no more than 75 minutes, and they can take on a range of approaches—full attendee discussions, presentations from panelists followed by Q&A, interactive sessions using webinar tools.  Unlike conference panels at the traditional conference, you are only bound by your creativity with the virtual discussions.  Panels that represent new areas of public relations are highly encouraged

Second – Collaborate

Please submit a proposal with no more than five people who confirm that they will participate.   Panelists can be academics, practitioners, or both! Develop relationships with your peers in our division and connect with industry professionals. Collaborate to develop a proposal that provides our members with deep insights and valuable information.

Third – Be flexible
Remember that it is often necessary to modify and merge proposals. If multiple panel suggestions are submitted with similar topics, the committee may accept one over the others, merge the proposed panels, or reject all of them.

Fourth – Submit electronically
Proposers should complete this form.  If you have questions, please contact Patrick Merle
(pmerle@fsu.edu). The proposal must include the following:

1. Panel type (research, teaching, or PF&R)
2. Proposed panel title
3. Panel description/summary (250 words)
4. Confirmed moderator (name, affiliation, and contact information)
5. Three to five confirmed panelists (name, affiliation, and contact information)
6. Panel contact (name, affiliation, and contact information)

We will send the selection decisions for virtual panels to all submitters by December 5, 2024.
