Registration OPEN for 5th PRD Virtual Conference

Reminder to register for our fifth virtual conference. Panels will be featured throughout February and include:

  • "Getting Dirty Teaching Public Relations Ethics" on Wednesday, February 1, from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. ET 
  • “PRD GIFTs (Great Ideas for Teaching)” on Thursday, February 2, from 4 to 5 p.m. ET
  • “Public Interest Communications and PR: A Nuanced Examination of the Academic and Professional Landscape” on Friday, February 3, from 1 to 2:30 p.m. ET
  • “Annual Evaluations, Tenure and Promotion Reviews, and External Reviews – Oh My!” on Friday, February 10, from noon to 1:30 p.m. ET
  • “Sports in the Public Relations Classroom: Providing Communication Students with High-Demand, Real-World Perspectives” on Thursday, February 16, from 2 to 3 p.m. ET (co-sponsored by SCIG)
  • “(Slightly) Off Track: Promotion and Professional Development as Non-Tenure Track Faculty” on Friday, February 24, from 2 to 3 p.m. ET
  • “Opportunities Outside Academia: What a Shift to Industry Can Look Like” on Friday, February 24, from 3:10-4:30 p.m.

Following registration, you will receive a confirmation email within a few days.  You will also receive an email with a Zoom link invitation approximately one week before the panel.  You can join either via telephone or computer with audio only or with audio and video.  Please note that participants will be muted during any formal presentations from the panelists; however, a live chat will also be running to facilitate Q&A.  Participants will be allowed to unmute themselves at appropriate times to ask questions as well.

Panels will be recorded and archived via Zoom recordings; however, content will only be shared with those who have registered for the panel.  So please register if you're interested in the content but have a conflict with your schedule.
