AEJMC Festival of Visual & Interactive Media
The AEJMC Festival of Visual & Interactive Media contest (also known as VIM Fest) was created by the Visual Communication (VISC) division, in partnership with a number of other AEJMC divisions, as an opportunity to have faculty creative research and student work vetted in a blind-juried, peer-reviewed international competition.
Submissions are open until January 31, 2026.
VISCOM members can submit their work free of charge. Student submissions are $20 per submission. This fee is often covered by departments for their students. The payment form (link below) allows for bulk payment of students' submission fees.
Awards: Gold, Silver and Bronze will be awarded in each category. Gold student winners will receive a $50 award sponsored by the VISCOM division.
Virtual Award Presentation: The awards will be announced during a virtual presentation during the Southeast Colloquium in March 2026. (We'll post the specific date and time in the near future.)
