Lecturer
The Baylor Department of Journalism, Public Relations & New Media is seeking a colleague to join our faculty at the rank of lecturer. This non-tenure track position will begin in August 2027. Responsibilities for this position may include teaching basic and intermediate broadcast, visual media, and/or multimedia journalism classes. This would be a full-time teaching position.
This appointment is a renewable full-time, benefits-eligible, teaching-focused position with a 6-year promotion path to Senior Lecturer for successful candidates and a 12-year promotion path to Teaching Professor for highly successful candidates (see: Policy on Full-Time Lecturers, Senior Lecturers, and Teaching Professors at Baylor University)
Candidates who are outside of the United States and do not have other nonimmigrant visa status will not be sponsored for an H-1B petition.

Qualifications
Required
- a master's degree in journalism, broadcast, communications or a related field is required.
- a minimum of three years of relevant professional experience in one or more of the following areas: multimedia journalism, broadcast reporting, writing or producing or related field is required.
Preferred
- preferred teaching experience in one or more of the following areas: multimedia journalism, broadcast reporting, writing or producing or related field.
