Is it Time to Reboot Journalism Education?

Join WJEC at the 7th Congress | August 8-10

Deadline: March 7, 2025

This is a call for the WJEC7 panel proposals. Panel sessions are opportunities for expert panel members to address the universal issues and interests related to journalism and journalism education today.

Panels are aimed at discussing specific topics related to the 2025 conference theme. Based on the importance of the topic, its justification and expertise of the participants, up to 12 panels will be selected.

The duration of panel discussion is 75 minutes, that allows in-depth discussion of the topic, and time for audience questions and interaction.

Guideline

The panel proposals should be brief and include:

  • Topic
  • Description (up to 500 words rationale and justification of the panel relevance)
  • Name of the panel chair  with short bio (up to 100 words)
  • List of 3 panellists, with their affiliation and expertise related to the topic.

Panel proposals should be sent to Verica Rupar (verica.rupar@aut.ac.nz) by March 7, 2025.
