Tenure-track Assistant Professor
Position Summary:
The School of Media & Journalism at Arkansas State University is looking for a tenure-track Assistant Professor.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in the recently launched Mass Communications degree program needed to support news outlets, including The Herald, ASU-TV News, mentoring, and thesis supervision.
- Conduct research and contribute to the school's scholarly mission and productivity.
- Fulfill required department, college, and university service obligations while supporting program quality, assessment, and governance.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Knowledge and ability to teach communication across platforms and produce research and/or creative activities appropriate to the discipline.
General Days/Hours:
Monday - Friday
8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Additional hours as requested and/or needed
Regular and reliable attendance
