SC Native! Born and raised in Columbia, SC. I live in Irmo, SC with my two daughters and our two dogs. I am a die-hard Gamecock fan and USC Alum (#ForeverToThee), a former dancer turned dance & gymnastics mom, a dog lover, a big fan of rap music, obsessed with gymnastics, and I love the outdoors & sunshine! I often communicate in GIF’s and meme’s. My favorite show is Schitt’s Creek.
My entire career has been spent with non-profits. I started out as a Public Relations intern at Children’s Chance my senior year of college. I then advanced to be their Public Relations Director and was there for 8 years. I handled all of the PR and promotions efforts, organized events and fundraisers, helped run programs & created their social media presence from scratch – because social was just invented.
I joined the AEJMC/ASJMC team in January 2013 as the Public Relations Specialist and now I am the Communications Director. I am responsible for all of the organization’s communication, manage and run all of the social media accounts, assist with conference promotions, handle conference advertising, develop and manage the conference app & more! My favorite part of this position is connecting and engaging with our awesome members.
