Welcome Message

Welcome letter from the division head

Welcome to the Communication Technology (CTEC) Division

Association for Education in Journalism and Mass Communication (AEJMC)

Welcome to the CTEC Division!

I am honored to serve as the 2025–2026 Head of the Communication Technology (CTEC) Division. CTEC has long been one of AEJMC’s most forward-thinking and collaborative divisions, uniting scholars who study how technologies such as social media, artificial intelligence, automation, and digital platforms continue to transform communication and society.

As we look ahead to the 2026 AEJMC Conference in New Orleans, our goal is to continue fostering meaningful conversations and connections among researchers, educators, and students who share a passion for technology and media innovation. The conference has always been the heart of our community, and I hope you will join us as we showcase diverse and cutting-edge scholarship this year.

I also want to encourage our members to submit their work to the Journal of Communication Technology, the division’s official publication. The journal continues to grow in reach and reputation, offering a valuable venue for advancing communication technology research and sharing insights with a global audience.

Thank you for being part of this vibrant community. I look forward to connecting with many of you in New Orleans and continuing to strengthen CTEC’s role as a hub for innovation, inclusivity, and scholarly excellence.
