The Trayes Service Award is presented annually to one MCSD member who has made a sustained, meaningful, and impactful contribution to the MCS Division through dedicated service and leadership. This prestigious award recognizes individuals whose ongoing commitment has strengthened the Division’s mission, fostered a sense of community among members, and enhanced the overall quality and visibility of the Division’s initiatives and programming. Honorees exemplify a spirit of service through activities such as organizing conference programming, mentoring colleagues and students, supporting division operations, and contributing to the growth and advancement of the field. Their efforts reflect not only consistency and reliability but also a deep investment in the success and future of the MCS Division and its members.
Nominations from MCSD members as well as self-nominations are welcome. The award winner will be selected by the MCS Division’s Head, PF&R Committee, and Graduate Student Liaison.
Submission Details:
Submit the following information electronically as ONE PDF and include the nominee/applicant’s name in the title of the file. Include the following information in your submission packet in the order listed below:
- Statement from nominator or nominee that highlights the applicant’s contribution to the Division
- Additional letters of support (1-3)
- The nominee’s curriculum vita (no more than five pages)
Submission Deadline: April 30th at 11:59 p.m. (EDT). The nomination PDF should be emailed to the MCSD Awards Chair.
Award: $1,000
The award winner will be recognized at the MCSD Awards Luncheon at the national conference with a plaque. Winners will also be listed on the Division’s website.
